There’s been a nice grade of yellowtail being caught off La Jolla in the 15 – 20lbs range. You need to meter around a bit to locate them, and keep an eye out for bird schools. Guys have been getting them on the yo-yo early in the morning, before 7AM and then the bite shuts down.. Good luck!
